Reiki is the channeling of the universal life force energy. It is a gentle, non-invasive healing method that promotes balance in the chakras. As a result, it aids in relaxation and assists the body’s natural healing processes. It can help with physical and mental ailments, stress management, relaxation and personal development.
Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques. It is used to enhance musculoskeletal function, aid in healing, and promote relaxation and well-being.
Massage involves working and acting on the body with pressure (structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving), tension, motion, or vibration. These techniques can be applied both manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastrointestinal system.
The benefits of massage are numerous and include, but are not limited to: muscle relaxation, lymphatic drainage, reduced pain, mental relaxation, increased energy, improved sleep, and time for oneself!
Therapeutic massage is ideal for anyone with chronic muscular pain and tightness. The massage therapist will use a variety of techniques which will include light and deep pressure in order to reduce pain and discomfort. The therapist may recommend follow up treatments to prevent a disruption of the therapeutic benefits. In acute cases pain relief is possible with massage of the non affected area. For example a hip injury can benefit with massage of the low back region. However, acute injuries should always be communicated to the therapist and assessment by a physician is encouraged.
Deep Tissue / Sports Massage
A sports massage stimulates the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. It emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries due to fitness activity. This style is effective for specific muscle and tendon problems. It can also enhance event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. Specially designed sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares an athlete for optimal performance.
The primary focus of this massage is to remove stress by using lighter and slower hand strokes. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.
This type of massage is recommended for clients that are new to massage and don’t prefer/request deep pressure.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension — which aids in better sleep — and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
Depending on where you are in your pregnancy, you may prefer to lie on your stomach, supported by pillows, or your side.
Women with normal, low-risk pregnancies can benefit greatly from the variety of massage techniques offered. However, women in high-risk pregnancies should consult their doctor or midwife before any Massage Therapy. If you experience discomfort at any time during the pregnancy massage, tell your therapist immediately.

Jade Stone Massage
Jade Stone Massage is a great way to get a therapeutic treatment or to just treat yourself. Done with carved jade stones, this type of massage uses both heat and cold to target sore muscles for greater pain relief. The heat from the stones increased the depth of the treatment and the cold brings a refreshing sensation to the area. Both the hot and cold help improve circulatory health.
Raindrop Therapy Technique
Raindrop Technique is the use of specific essential oils dropped in sequence along the spine and on the feet to improve overall body function. This technique is both relaxing and invigoration and is used to maintain physical and emotional wellness.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage is an effective way of increasing the circulation and filtration of lymphatic fluid in your body. This incredibly gentle technique works with the the lymph nodes and the vessels just beneath the skin. MLD can help decrease swelling, inflammation, increase circulation and improve your immune system. This technique can be incorporated into your massage.
Cupping is an ancient technique used to improve circulation and remove toxins built up in muscle tissue. Dynamic Cupping is a technique using silicone suction cups to create negative pressure. The cups are used over the joint as it is brought through the range of motion to increase circulation to the joint and break up scar tissue. This technique can be incorporated into your massage.
